Decorating vase with cherries design

Painting this kind of vase design is easy. We may make cherries from Shilpkaar brand clay or Mould-it brand clay or m-seal plumber's seal. Apply oil on hand palms. Mix the two components given in the packet. Make small balls and press those to make flat cherries. We made major branches with rolled clay. We may paint foliage with acrylics on an enamel-painted black vase. Paint tendrils on the branches using a fine brush. For extra shine and protection spray varnish on the surface of the vase.

Easy cut-vase painting

A comparatively easier technique. Prepare a terracota vase by soaking in water for an hour and then rubbing with a sandpaper. After complete drying do the white base with two coats of enamel paint. After drying of the base paint the blue green and red acrylics on the engraved lines already present on the vase. You need not draw the design.

Making grapes bunch on a vase

Play marbles are painstakingly stuck to the pot using a good adhesive. When the bunch becomes ready paint them with the grape blue shade of enamel paint. Leaves are made with Mould-it or Shilpkaar clay or M-seal plumber's seal. Apply little oil on palms. Craft three similar leaves and stick on the top of bunch. Roll on the craft clay and make the branch and stick from top of bunch to the mouth of the vase. Craft a slightly bigger leaf and paste it stylishly on the branch top at the mouth of the vase. Paint the leaves and the branch after drying of the clay.

Red dots

White pot decorated with red dots of different sizes. Buy a clay pot. Soak in water for an hour. Smoothen by polishing with a sand paper piece. This will bring the desired shine on the surface when painted. Use enamel paint for a glossy surface. Draw diagonal wave lines with a pencil. Fill alternate wave stripes by painting dots of different sizes using red enamel paint. A work of patience indeed.

Jungle Birds

Big vase spiralled by a Bel. Bird pairs sitting on it.

Clay flowers

The aqua and sea green dominated vase is decorated with clay modelled flowers.

Stylized Peacock

Silver pot has a stylized peacock painted on it. Silver paint is available in pearl metallic range of Fevicryl; spray / aerosol paints; and silver paste added in varnish. Each one has different intensity. Silver glitters or 3 D tubes may be used for highlights. Soak the baked clay pottery in water for an hour. Rub with sand paper for smoothening. Allow to dry completely. Apply one to three coats of paint, depending upon the thickness or density of the paint.  Apply second /next coat after drying of the previous one. Draw the peacock shape with a pencil carefully. Then paint with required suitable acrylic colours. After drying completely highlight certain lines with silver 3 D liner tube or another alternate available with you.

Welcome to the blog. Vases are containers, jars, vessels or pots which are used as interior decoration objects. Vases may hold dry arrangements or fresh flowers or may be kept empty as decorative pieces. These may be of glass, terracota, crystal, metal, ceramic, etc. These may be upcycled from different waste objects like empty sauce bottles, cold drink bottles, wine bottles, plastic pipes, cement pipe pieces, empty boxes, old tumblers, etc.  Creating different look vases is an interesting work of creativity. These may be painted in different styles and techniques or may be decorated by pasting variety of objects. Presented here will be the creations of  Home Science students in laboratory, beginners with vase painting and vase decoration art.
